A Virtual Assistant (VA) is a remote professional who provides administrative, operational, and business support — without the cost or commitment of a full-time employee. You get expert help exactly when you need it, billed only for the time or package you choose.
We cover a wide range of business support tasks, including:

Our core strength is administrative and operational support. For highly specialised tasks (e.g. legal drafting, certified accounting, or software development), we'll be upfront if a task falls outside our scope. We'd rather refer you to the right expert than do a poor job.
Yes — we work with clients worldwide. We're based in Indonesia but operate remotely across all time zones. We'll agree on communication windows and overlap hours during onboarding so nothing slips through the cracks.
Pricing & Billing
We offer three billing options:
- Pay-As-You-Go: $21/hour, billed in 20-minutes increments. The minimum commitment is 1-hour.
- Monthly Packages: 20 hrs ($395/mo), 40 hrs ($795/mo), or 60 hrs ($1,195/mo). Your first month gets 25% off.
Yes — a downpayment of 25% of the estimated total (min. $21), is required before work begins on hourly rate. For monthly package, you will be billed in advance at the start of each billing cycle.
The downpayment confirms your commitment and secures your spot. Once work commences, all payments received are fully earned and non-refundable.
Invoices unpaid beyond 7 days of the invoice date will incur a $15 fixed late fee plus an 8% interest charge on the outstanding balance.
All new clients on a monthly support package receive 25% off their first month — automatically applied, no code needed. The discount applies to the 20-hour, 40-hour, and 60-hour packages. After the first month, billing returns to the standard rate.
Monthly package hours are allocated per calendar month and do not roll over. If you consistently use fewer hours than your plan allows, we'll suggest downgrading to a plan that fits better. If you need more hours in a given month, additional hours are billed at the Pay-As-You-Go rate.
We accept bank transfers and major online payment platforms. Specific payment details will be provided in your proposal. For international clients, we accommodate payments with Stripe (in USD). If you have a specific payment method in mind, let us know and we'll do our best to accommodate.
Yes. Monthly plans can be cancelled or changed with 14 days' written notice before the next billing cycle. We don't lock you into long-term contracts. If your needs change — more tasks, fewer hours, or a project wrapping up — just let us know and we'll adjust.
How We Work
It's a simple four-step process:
- Fill out our book a free call form — it takes under 2 minutes. Share your workload, challenges, and what you'd like off your plate.
- We'll reach out to schedule your free 20-minute discovery session.
- We review your needs and send a clear proposal within 24 hours.
- Once approved, we'll send you a simple service agreement to sign and downpayment invoice.
- After you sign the service agreement and the payment went through, we'll complete onboarding process to align on tools and workflows. Then, we get to work.
Typically within 48 hours of contract signed and downpayment cleared. We keep our onboarding lean and focused so you get real help fast — not weeks of setup calls.
We're comfortable with the most common business tools, including Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Sheets, Docs), Microsoft Office, Notion, Trello, and more. If you use a specific tool, let us know — we're fast learners and happy to adapt to your existing workflow.
Yes. Assistara HQ is a two-person team — Ayu and Eka. You'll communicate directly with us, not a rotating pool of agents. The person who onboards you is the person who does your work. That means consistent quality and no need to re-explain things every time.
We track time using dedicated time-tracking software and provide you with a clear summary at the end of each billing period. For hourly-based work, we provide progress updates at agreed milestones. Transparency is important to us — you'll always know where your hours went.
Confidentiality
Absolutely. We treat all client information — business data, financials, personal details, and internal processes — with strict confidentiality. We never share your information with third parties. If you require a formal Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) before we begin, we're happy to sign one.
We recommend sharing access using your platform's built-in permission controls (e.g. adding us as a viewer or editor in Google Drive, or creating a secondary user in your accounting software) rather than sharing master passwords. We never store or write down credentials, and access is revoked at your request the moment a project ends.
Yes. We're happy to sign a mutual NDA before any sensitive information is shared. Just mention it when you reach out and we'll arrange it as part of onboarding. We take confidentiality seriously and want you to feel secure working with us.
Communication
We work asynchronously by default, which means no mandatory meetings or calls. We communicate best through email because it keeps the cost low, productivity high, and everything documented and organized in one place. You'll receive clear updates and deliverables without needing to schedule time around us.
We're based in Indonesia (WIB, UTC+7) and work Monday to Friday from 9 AM - 5 PM. During onboarding, we'll agree on overlap hours that work for both parties, particularly if you're in a very different time zone. For urgent tasks, we'll do our best to respond and turn around work quickly.
We respond to all messages within 24 business hours — usually much faster during our working day. For time-sensitive tasks, let us know and we'll prioritise accordingly. We believe in clear, timely communication so you're never left wondering about the status of your work.
Other Questions
Your satisfaction matters. If a deliverable doesn't meet your expectations, tell us and we'll revise it promptly. We'd rather spend extra time getting it right than leave you with something that doesn't work. For ongoing issues, we're always open to a conversation about what's not working and how to fix it.
We don't have a formal trial period, but Pay-As-You-Go is a low-risk way to test working with us. Start with a small task or a couple of hours, see how we perform, and scale up from there. There's no long-term commitment required for hourly work.
